O.N.E. week 01 - Like a Book You Can’t Put Down
On savoring life, trusting the muse, and feeling alive
Welcome to O.N.E. Newsletter
One observation. One nurture. One exploration.
Each week, I share:
✧ Observation: A brief story that stirred my mind or soul
✧ Nurture: Something that nurtured or inspired me
✧ Exploration: A gentle invitation to pause and explore with intention
A breath of attention and care.
Just one of each.
More than enough.
One Observation
When I pick up a book I can’t put down, I want to devour every page, every plot twist, as fast as possible.
But as the unread pages grow thinner, a quiet sadness creeps in.
I don’t want it to end.
I want the story to stretch on forever.
What if life is an irresistibly captivating, page-turning book—each chapter more gripping, more alive than the last? What if the chapters ahead aren’t unfinished, undone, or failures, but moments of wonder still waiting to be lived?
Could I shift from rushing and feeling incomplete to savoring each moment with gratitude?
Could I even experience a secret joy for all the beautiful chapters still to come?
From: “Ugh, I am not there yet.”
To: “There’s still more story to live? Ah—how wonderful!”
One Nurture
A gift to all creators—that is, to all human beings.
Your Elusive Genius by Elizabeth Gilbert beautifully transforms the maddening creative process into a graceful dance between human effort and the mysterious forces beyond us.
It reminds me that creativity isn’t about control. It’s a collaboration with the unknown, a surrender that opens space for magic.
One Exploration
Today, find one sensation around you.
For just a moment, give yourself fully to it.
Give yourself to the cold air of the refrigerator aisle.
To the warmth of the sun on your skin.
To the gravity pulling you gently to the earth.
Let it meet you.
See what you find.
O.N.E. is a weekly invitation to explore, nurture, and observe.
Thank you for evolving with me.
If this moved something in you, share it — sometimes, that’s how we find each other.
This was lovely. I am also someone who rushes through books, if it’s good I’ll finish it within the day. But I do notice later if I reread that maybe I missed small things that made the story even better. With real life, there are no rereads therefore I should make sure I enjoy every moment of this story now
